Hospital administrators
Annabeth Crabtree wrote, in the October 1999 and January 2000 issues of National Network, an article entitled "Leadership Alert: Methods for Reaching Out to Administrators." Links are:

Providing services to administration is very important. Administrators control how much funding your library gets, and whether it (and your job) will exist. Providing library services to them is the best way to demonstrate what it is that you do. They may come to depend on those services to keep them abreast of current events in the hospital world, to help them come up to speed on issues for which they are called upon to make decisions. The more you can help them look good, the less likely they are to cut your services. Taking steps such as those Annbeth suggests can only help.
